CORPS OF SIGNAL BECAME CHAMPS IN THE INTER REGIMENT INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Inter Regiment novices Indoor Rowing Championships was held during 25 – 26 October at Panagoda Army cantonment sport complex conducted by the Army Rowing Association.

Sri Lanka Signal Corps team won the Men’s Overall Challenge Championship and second in Women’s Overall Championship. Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps won Women’s Open Championship and Sri Lanka Signal Corps women’s team was adjudged Runners-up trophies respectively.

Major General Dampath Fernando, Chief of Staff participated as the Chief Guest at the invitation of Major General J. R Kulathunga, Chairman Army Rowing Club and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry to witness the final segment of the tournament, together with a gathering of senior officers and other invitees.
