The cornerstone laid to build a new house for late Sergeant Kumarsinghe J for his family was took place at Wattegama on 26 June 2020.
Brigadier L S P PereraUSP theCentre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps attended forthis generous course in order to lay the corner stone as the chief guest.
This simple ceremony and the project were initiated by the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps along with School of Signals Buwelikada. The Commandant School of Signals Lieutenant Colonel S J K D Jayawardena USPpscand the Commanding Officer 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel R C Wijekoon USP psc warmly welcomed the chief guest and proceeded further by laying the corner stone at the auspicious time.
This was planned to construct with the support of skilled soldiers in the corps and funded by Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Signal Corps. This was an urgently needed requirement for beloved wife and son of a war hero.
Other senior Officers from Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Signal Corps and School of Signals also witness the ceremony.
