COMMANDER SIGNAL BRIGADE CONDUCTED HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 2(V) SLSC AT DALUKANA

Brigadier HMLD Herath RSP USP psc, Commander Signal Brigade paid an official visit to 2nd (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 19 April 2021 located at DALUKANA.

Brigade Commander was accorded with a Ceremonial Guard Turnout conducted by the troops of the unit and warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel BP Udage USP, Commanding Officer – 2(V) SLSC. Then in order to mark the visit, Brigade Commander planted a Mango sapling in front of the Regimental Headquarters premises.

Then he addressed All Ranks and he outlined what was his vision on the future development of signalers as multi skill signalers. Then Later Brigade Commander joined for an All Ranks tea, where he shared his thoughts with Officers and Other Ranks. Then he visited the camp and appreciated the effort which has taken by the CO and All Ranks to develop the standard of the camp within 8 months of redeployment at DALUKANA.

Subsequently, CO delivered a comprehensive briefing about the role and tasks of 2(V) SLSC, the prevailing situation of the SFHQ (E) AOR, Communication status of the AOR and ongoing projects and future requirements of the unit.
