COLONEL COMMANDANT\'S VISITS 7TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

The inaugural visit of the Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc to the 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps was took place on 24 June 2015. Commanding Officer, 7 SLSC, Lt Col G S Fonseka psc warmly welcomed the patron of the Regiment, ceremonially and followed by a camp visit and a tree planting. The Commanding Officer, 7 SLSC briefed about the outline organization of 7 SLSC and the tasks carried out by the battalion at present apart from its classic communication duties and construction works and also slightly touch upon the progress made by the regiment in various disciplines to date. Subsequent to this comprehensive briefing, Colonel Commandant addressed all ranks present and all those who were witness the address opt an opportunity to interact with the Colonel Commandant during the tea. Prior to the departure, Colonel Commandant left his remarks in the Visitors\' Book, to mark his first visit to the 7 SLSC as the Colonel Commandant. Finally, appreciating Colonel Commandant\'s presence, Commanding Officer and all ranks presented a memento as a token of appreciation. This visit was come to an end with a Officers\' Get-together organized at the camp premises in the same evening.
