COLONEL COMMANDANT\'S VISIT TO 9 SLSC

The official visit of the Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc to the 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps was took place on 30 September 2015. The Commanding Officer of 9 SLSC, Lt Col G C V Fernando warmly welcome the Colonel Commandant and gave a ceremonial guard turnout. Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant planted a \'Na\' tree at the unit premises, in order to mark his first official visit after assuming duties as 10th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.\r\n\r\nThe Colonel Commandant addressed all ranks and subsequently those who were present to the address had an opportunity to interact with the Colonel Commandant during the tea. Thereafter he visited the camp premises and gave instruction to open a training lab in order to improve practical knowledge.\r\n\r\nThe Commanding Officer, 9 SLSC briefed about the communication & administration matters pertaining to 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.\r\n \r\nFinally, appreciating Colonel Commandant’s presence, Commanding Officer and all ranks of presented a memento as a token of appreciation.
