COLONEL COMMANDANT VISITS 6 SLSC

Commencing the fifth day of the Colonel Commandants official unit visit, Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc visited the 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 28 September 2015. The Commanding Officer, 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Lieutenant Colonel KC Prathapasinghe warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant ceremonially by offering a guard turn out.And thereafter, in order to mark this visit Colonel Commandant planted a \'Mango\' tree at the Regimental Headquarters premises.\r\n\r\nDuring the Colonel Commandants address he outlined his plans to uplift the standards of the officers and soldiers giving priority for over all training. And also he announced 6 SLSC for next Battalion Training in next February.As per the itinerary he participated the all ranks tea arranged by the unit.\r\n\r\nJust after the tea Colonel Commandant visited unit lines along with the Commanding Officer and he appreciated the progress made by the unit with limited resources. As per the event lineup, Commanding Officer, 6 SLSC briefed the Colonel Commandant covering Operational aspects and the challenges faced by the unit while shifting its role from RFT to IT. At the end of the briefing Colonel Commandant addressed the all officers who attached to 6 SLSC.\r\n \r\nFinally the Colonel Commandant had the lunch with all officers at the officers\' mess and departs for Palali by leaving a congratulatory note in the Visitors Book of the 6 SLSC for the job well-done.
