The Chief Signal Officer and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Maj Gen KRP Rowel RWP USP ndu psc officially visited the 2 Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps (Vol) on 25 September 2015.\r\n\r\nThe Commanding Officer of 2 Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant by offering a guard turn out. Thereafter, Maj Gen KRP Rowel RWP USP ndu psc planted an \'Ebony Tree\' at the unit premises to mark his first official visit to 2 (V) SLSC as the Colonel Commandant. \r\n\r\nThe Col Comdt addressed all gathered and announced his perspective on the future development of signalers in the Army and the road map to elevate the standard of the Corps to meet the future challenges. Later CO 2 (V) SLSC presented a memento to Colonel Commandant as a token, appreciating of his visit. Subsequently Colonel Commandant had a tea with all ranks and he did not forget to have a little chat with them.\r\n\r\nJust after the tea Colonel Commandant visited unit lines along with the Commanding Officer and he appreciated the progress made by the unit despite many difficulties.\r\nAs per the event lineup, CO 2 (V) SLSC delivered his comprehensive presentation covering all Operational, Communication and Administrative matters of the unit. At the end of the briefing Colonel Commandant addressed the all signal officer in the SFHQ(E) AOR. Finally the Col Comdt had the lunch with all officers at the officers\' mess and departs for Mullaitivu by leaving a congratulatory note in the Visitors Book of the 2 (V) SLSC for the job weldone.
