COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF SIGNALS VISITED 7TH SIGNAL REGIMENT

The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc made his 3rd official visit to the 7th Signal Regiment deployed in Diyatalawa on 12th August 2018.

Having inspected the Guard Turnout awarded by the troops of the Regiment, Colonel Commandant then declared open the newly built CO’s Chalet on the special invitation of the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel HDJP Weerathunga that was followed by a troops address and a mid-day tea with All Ranks.

During the troops address, Colonel Commandant appreciated the hard work done and the dedication shown in uplifting the infrastructure facilities of the unit. In the same speech he comprehensively explained the scheduled series of events for the celebrations of the 75th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Signal Corps this year.
