COLONEL COMMANDANT CONDUCTED HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 6 SLSC(IT)

Major General PAJ Peiris ndu, the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid his first official visit to 6 SLSC (IT) on 12 March 2021 after assuming duties as the Colonel Commandant.

He was welcomed by the Commanding Officer 6 SLSC (IT) - Lt Col SHLD Fernando SLSC where he was accorded with a Ceremonial Guard Turnout by the troops of 6 SLSC. Then he planted a sapling to mark his visit.

Subsequently Colonel Commandant addressed the troops where he outlined how signalers should uplift their knowledge and skills to be in par with the Army way forward strategy. Further he stressed about maintaining the high standard of discipline within the corps. After the address Commanding Officer and Colonel Commandant exchanged mementos to remark the visit.

Finally Colonel Commandant joined for a lunch at Officers’ Mess and left compliments in the visitor’s book before the departure.
