COLONEL COMMANDANT CONDUCTED HIS FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO 9 SLSC

Major General P A J Peiris ndu, The Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid his first official visit to 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 11 March 2021.

After inspecting the Ceremonial Guard Turnout awarded by the troops of the unit, The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel M P C B Jayashantha USP, the Commanding Officer of 9 SLSC.

Afterwards Colonel Commandant addressed all Ranks and he outlined his vision on the future development of signalers as multitask signalers as well as the importance of maintaining the discipline.

Then Commanding Officer presented a memento to The Colonel Commandant on behalf of all Officers and Other Ranks of the unit in order to mark his official visit to the unit. Then an All Ranks tea party was held at multipurpose hall which marked the end of the day’s proceedings.

Finally Colonel Commandant had a discussion with the Commander Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi, Major General HP Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc.
