COLONEL COMMANDANT AND CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER MADE HIS FORMAL VISIT TO 3 SLSC

Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General P A J Peiris ndu visited 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 12th March 2021.

Upon the escorted arrival at the Main Entrance of the Regiment, Commanding Officer 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel HADW Hettiarachchi psc SLSC received the Colonel Commandant and awarded the traditional ceremonial Guard Turnout of the unit, which was followed by paying floral tribute at the Monument.

Then Colonel Commandant was guided to the Commanding Officer’s office through a line of reception by officers and participated for the unit admin briefing conducted by the Commanding Officer at the Conference Hall.

After the unit briefing, Colonel Commandant visited to Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) and had a cordial discussion with the Commander Security Force Headquarters Jaffna Major General W L P W Perera RWP RSP ndu.

After the discussion Colonel Commandant returned to 3 SLSC and planted a sapling to mark his visit.

Subsequently Colonel Commandant addressed the troops at the Other Ranks Mess where Commanding Officer and Colonel Commandant both exchanged their mementoes respectively in remark of Colonel Commandant’s visit to the Regiment. Then he attended the All Ranks Tea at the same venue.

Finally Colonel Commandant penned remarks of his official visit on Visitor’s Book which mark the conclusion of day’s events.
