After assuming the duties as the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General K A W S Ratnayake ndu made his first formal visit to the Headquarters, 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps at Vasavilan, Palaly on 8th August 2023.
The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of the 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel U L C D Perera psc. A formal Guard Turnout by 3 SLSC troops, saluted the Colonel Commandant upon his arrival at the 3 SLSC premises.
During the visit, the Colonel Commandant planted a mango sapling to mark his visit to 3 SLSC and addressed Officers and Other Ranks of the unit explaining his vision for executing Information and Communication Technological matters and administrative matters to ensure the smooth functioning of the duties. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer conducted a formal briefing to the Colonel Commandant regarding ICT matters and the administrative matters of the unit. The Deputy Centre Commandant of RHQ SLSC and Colonel Coord of Office of Chief Signal Officer also participated in the visit.
