THE CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF SRI LANKA ARMY AND THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS VISITS 1st REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu made his maiden official visit to 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 15 July 2023.

Maj G T K de Silva RSP USP Lsc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant on arrival and a subsequent Ceremonial Guard Turnout was awarded at the entrance in accordance with military formalities.

Subsequently he planted a Sandun Sapling to mark of his official visit to 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Later, Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu addressed the troops, persuading everyone to exercise professionalism while upholding the greatest standards of discipline throughout their careers and adapting to the nation's present situation. Thereafter, all ranks tea was taken place and chief guest spared his time with officers and other ranks. Subsequently he visited the camp premises too.

Then the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing on the state of Communication, General, Administration and Logistic Matters.

Before concluding the day’s programme, Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu shared his views with officers during the lunch at Officers’ Mess and left compliments in the Visitors’ Book.
