CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER MADE HIS FORMAL VISIT TO 3 SLSC

Chief Signal Officer (CSO) of the Sri Lanka Army Major General WPAK Thilakarathne psc formally visited 3rd Signal Regiment on 6th June 2020 at the Palaly Army Cantonment in Jaffna.

Upon the escorted arrival at the Main Entrance of the Regiment, Commanding Officer 3rd Signal Regiment Lieutenant Colonel NPA Mendis psc SLSC received the CSO and awarded the traditional ceremonial Guard Turnout of the unit, which was followed by paying floral tribute at the Regiment’s Monument. Then he was guided to the Commanding Officer’s Office through a line of reception by officers before the Commanding Officer’s briefing held at the Library cum Conference Room of the unit.

After the unit briefing, CSO delivered his troops address at the Other Ranks Mess where Commanding Officer presented a Plaque to the CSO in remarks of his official visit to the Regiment. Then he attended the All Ranks Tea at the same venue that was followed by planting a sapling and unit line visits covering the Self Learning Lab, Headquarters Squadron Billet, PA Room, Workshop, Gymnasium, C troop Stores and Radio Stores. Finally, CSO was hosted at the Officers Mess with a Staff Lunch and also a Courtesy Feast in the Evening.
