CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER AND OUT GOING COLONEL COMMANDANT PAID HIS LAST VISIT TO 4th REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps bid farewell for the outgoing 8th Chief Signal Officer and 14th Colonel Commandant Major General PAJ Peiris ndu on 21st May 2022 at 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Anuradhapura.

Commencing the day’s event Lieutenant Colonel RDRM Fernando RWP RSP psc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Major General Ashoka Peiris on arrival and a subsequent Ceremonial Guard Turnout was awarded at the entrance in accordance with military formalities.

Then he planted a Mango sapling to mark his last visit to 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps in front of the Regimental Headquarters. Afterwards, Major General PAJ Peiris ndu delivered his farewell speech to all ranks and persuade all to exploit professionalism whilst preserving highest standard of discipline during their career and adapt to the prevailing condition of the country. At the end of his address, the Commanding Officer presented a memento in appreciating his exemplary service rendered to the Corps of Signals during his military career. Thereafter, the Chief Guest joined for all ranks tea where he shared his thoughts with officers and other ranks and then he left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Unit Visitors’ Book.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Major General Ashoka Peiris shared his valuable thoughts with officers and sat together for lunch with all officers at the Officers’ Mess.
