THE CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER AND THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS VISITED 9 REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

The Chief Signal Officer and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General H M L D Herath RSP VSV USP psc visited 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Iranamadu on 12 February 2023. This was his final official visit to the 9th Regiment after assuming duties as the Chief Signal Officer & the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signals Corps.

Lt Col BMMB Herath RSP USP, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Major General Lalith Herath on arrival and subsequently a ceremonial guard turnout was presented at the entrance in accordance with military formalities. He then planted a mango sapling to mark his visit followed by a group photograph.

Subsequently, the Commanding Officer accompanied him to open the newly renovated Auditorium, Gymnasium and Library complex and then Chief Guest addressed all ranks. Then Commanding Officer presented a memento to Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps on behalf of all officers and other Ranks of the unit in appreciating his exemplary service rendered during his military career.

Later Chief Signal Officer joined for an all ranks tea party where he shared his thoughts with Officers and Other Ranks.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps with all officers sat for lunch at the ‘Lake Side’ holiday bungalow and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before the culmination of the day's proceedings.
