CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER AND COLONEL COMMANDANT PAID HIS LAST VISIT TO 7TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

7th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps bid farewell for the retiring 8th Chief Signal Officer and 14th Colonel commandant Major General PAJ Peiris ndu on 07th May 2022 at Regiment Headquarters.

Lieutenant Colonel SAD Gamagedara USP, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Major General Ashoka Peiris on arrival and a subsequent Ceremonial Guard Turnout was awarded at the entrance in accordance with military formalities.

Subsequently he planted an Mango sapling to mark his last visit to 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Later, Major General PAJ Peiris ndu delivered his farewell speech and convince all to harness professionalism whilst preserving highest standard of discipline during their career and adjust to the prevailing situation of the country. At the end of his address the Commanding Officer presented a memento in appreciating his exemplarity service rendered during his military career. Subsequently all ranks tea was taken place and chief guest spared his time with Officers and Other Ranks.

Major General Ashoka Peiris shared his valuable thoughts with officers and sat together for lunch with all officers at the Officers’ Mess and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before departure from 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps. Then Chief Signal Officer visited Strategic Defence Communication Network ( SDCN ) tower at Madolsima with Commanding Officer.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary officers’ Get-together was taken place at Mercury house holiday bungalow.
