Brigadier Ashoka Peiris, the present Signal Regimental Centre Commandant relinquished the appointment and duties during a brief ceremony held on Wednesday, 18th July 2018.
On this occasion, Signal Regimental Centre awarded outgoing Regimental Centre Commandant Brigadier Ashoka Peiris a ceremonial Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Signal regimental Centre premises. Then he signed formal documents in handing over duties to his successor Brigadier Palitha Perera USP and addressed the troops of Signal Regimental Centre before attending the farewell staff-tea arranged by all ranks.
Brigadier Ashoka Peiris assumed his office at the Signal Regimental Centre, Panagoda on 12th January 2017 and leaving to follow the National Security and War Course at the National Defence University in Pakistan that will be commencing from 6th August 2018 for a period of one year.
