BOXERS OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS SHOW COLOURS AT INTER REGIMENT BOXING TOURNAMENT

The Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Boxing Championship 2023 was successfully held at Army Physical Training School, Panagoda from May 30 to June 02 with the participation of Male teams and Female teams showcasing exceptional sports skills. Brigadier P A M Peiris RSP USP psc, the Director, Directorate of Sports at Army Headquarters graced the finals and awarding ceremony of the tournament whilst Signals Boxing Team was securing 02 Gold medals and 02 Silver medals in the tournament. Details of winners are as follows:

Gold medals

• 81kg weight category – S/288563 Sgw Maduwanthi VHM - 12 SLSC.

• 66kg weight category – S/101571 Sgw Ruwanthika KHH – 2(V) SLSC.

Silver medals

• 48kg weight category – S/288049 Sgw Lakmali ABM - 1 SLSC.

• 52kg weight category –S/101600 Sgw Lokugamage MLMH – 2(V) SLSC.
