9 SLSC TROOPS BID FAREWELL FOR OUTGOING CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER AND COLONEL COMMANDANT

9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps bid farewell for the retiring Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant Major General PAJ Peiris ndu on 29th May 2022 at Regiment Headquarters in Kilinochchi.

Outgoing Chief Signal Officer in conformity with military traditions was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel BMMB Herath RSP USP and accorded a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the main entrance.

In line with formalities, he was invited to leave memories by planting a sapling at the near to the parade ground and group photograph was taken with all ranks. After that Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant Major General PAJ Peiris ndu addressed the troops of the regiment at ‘Nelum Piyasa’ auditorium. At the end of his address the Commanding Officer & all rank presented a memento in appreciating his exemplary service rendered during his military career.

Later Chief Signal Officer joined for an all ranks tea party where he shared his thoughts with Officers and Other Ranks.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Chief Signal Officer with all officers sat for lunch at the ‘Lake Side’ holiday bungalow and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before the culmination of the day's proceedings.
