6 SLSC (IT) WELCOMED NEWLY APPOINTED CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY & COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc, Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid his first official visit to 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 19th June 2022.

Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel WPDN Abeyrathne, the Commanding Officer of 6 SLSC (IT).

After the Drive Pass the programme of the day was started by planting a Sapling. After that Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps addressed all ranks and he outlined what was his vision on the future development of the signal. Then Commanding Officer presented a memento to Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps on behalf of all officers and Other Ranks of the unit in order to mark his first official visit to the unit.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps shared his valuable thoughts with officers and instructed all officers about their role among the Army and within the Regiment. Then sat for lunch with all officers at the Officers Mess and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before the culmination of the day's proceedings.
