5 SLSC troops planted a Bo tree on 29 December 2020, which was the ‘Unduvap’ Full moon poya day whereas the arrival of Sangamitta Therini with a Bo sapling from the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi was also took place.
In this virtuous day Commanding Officer of 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Lieutenant Colonel D M I S Bandara has planted a Bo Tree at auspicious time with the full of blessings at newly constructed Buddha shrine premises.
The sacred Bo Tree which was a branch of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya, transported to the premises by a colourful procession organized by the 5th SLSC troops in order to shed glamour to the event.
