4TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS CELEBRATES ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY
4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Celebrated its 25th Anniversary on 05 June 2016. The celebration commenced with a Guard Turnout and a Parade for the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel AKD Adikari USP and followed by a tree planting. The event was lined up with All Ranks Lunch, and distribution of trophies pertaining to inter squadron cricket and volleyball matches. During same the service rendered by the civil servants was appreciated by distributing gifts.
This was followed by the customary event of blessing to the unit flag, morning Kiri Ahara Poojawa at Jaya Siri Maha Bodhiya, and Catholic, Hindu religious practices at St Eugene De Mazenod church, and Kathiresan Kovil respectively.
The Colonel Commandant graced the Officers Get-together with the participation of former Commanding Officers including father of the unit- Lieutenant Colonel HM Chitraranjan (Retd) and serving officers. Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess together was held with the participation of former Regiment Sergeant Majors and serving members. The celebration was wind up with the All Ranks musical evening and get together.
