3RD SIGNAL REGIMENT IN CAROUSING TWILIGHTS 30TH ANNIVERSARY

3^rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps celebrated the 30^th Anniversary on 09^th March 2019 at the Regiment’s premises in Palaly, Jaffna. In view of the anniversary festivities, a series of military and customary events were held till 09^th March 2019 with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks in the Regiment that included the religious activities, Anniversary Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade to the Commanding Officer followed by All Ranks Lunch.

Subsequently, as the post Regiment Day events, three separate functions were held keeping the glamour unique to the Regiment. Accordingly, Officers Courtesy Feast was held in the evening on 12^th March 2019 at Thalsevena Army Resort in Kankasanthurai with the gracious participation of Commander Security Force (Jaffna) Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi as the Chief Guest, Commander FMA (North), General Officers Commanding 51 and 56 Divisions, Infantry Brigade Commanders in Jaffna and a large gathering of Officers from the Corps of Signals and other Regiments.

Then the Senior Non Commissioned Officers’ Get Together was held in the evening on 13^th March 2019 at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess of the Regiment with the participation of the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Anuradha Mendis as the Chief Guest, Officers of the Regiment and the guests from the other Regiments.

Finally, the 30^th Anniversary celebrations were concluded by conducting the All Ranks Get Together at the Play Ground of the Regiment in the evening on 14^th March 2019.
