2 (V) SLSC TROOPS BACK FOOD SECURITY DRIVE

2nd (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps troops in Dalukana on Saturday (16) began planting Lemon sapling inside the camp premises as per guidelines given by Major General Sugath Ratnayake ndu, Commander FMA (East) in order to support the ongoing food security program of the government.

The project is to Plant 1000 Lemon saplings in extent in the future in addition to the maintenance of its cultivation. Major General Sugath Ratnayake ndu Commander FMA (East), Lt Col Buddhika Udage USP Commanding Officer 2nd (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Officers and Other Ranks of the 2nd (Volunteer) Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps took part in the inauguration of the project.

The project covered across lands and fields that were acquired for this purpose on temporary basis to meet with the crisis situation.
