The 21 Sri Lanka National Guard Battalion converted as the 5th Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 01st of Jine 2010 and deployed in the general area Arasapurakulam, Pooneryn under the 66 Division. Perform civil affairs and security duties according to the instruction giving by hire headquarters.
