    Troops of the 59 Division-based in Wattappalai under the Security Force HQ- Mullaittivu, to be in line with the 'Thuru Mithuru-Nawa Ratak' cultivation project of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army launched a tree planting project inside the Kannaki Amman Hindu Temple premises in Wattappalai on Monday (25). Major General Priyantha Perera, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 59 Division was present there as the Chief Guest for start of the project.

  • 593 Brigade Troops Buy Essentials for Needy Families in Kokilai

    On the directions of the Commander Security Force Headquarters -Mullaittivu and the General Officer Commanding 59 Division, troops of the 593 Brigade distributed 50 relief dry ration packs among needy families living in the Kokilai fishing hamlet on Friday (15).

  • More Quarantined Persons Proceed Homeward

    Upon completion of the quarantine process of more than 3 weeks, one more group of 408 individuals proceeded back home from the Army-managed Punani (94), Mullaittivu (129), the Air Force- managed Iranamadu (175) and the Navy-run Boossa (10) Quarantine Centres (QC) last evening (10) and this morning (11) after necessary medical formalities and receipt of quarantine certificates.

  • 30 PPE Overalls Received by 643 Brigade Commander Given to Mullaittivu Troops

    A stock of Personal Preventive Equipment (PPE) overalls received by Brigadier J.M.N. K Jayasundara, 643 Brigade Commander of the 64 Division from a private donor were donated to the SFHQ-MLT for distribution among the troops serving in Quarantine Centres in and around Mullaittivu.

    Troops of the Security Force HQ- MLT supported the distribution of 250 dry ration packs among needy families in the general areas of Oddusudan, Samalankulam, Manawalapaddumurippu and Kachchaadayappan on Tuesday (5) after a consignment of dry rations was donated to them by a South-based Buddhist organization.
