In alignment with the "Clean Sri Lanka" national initiative and to uplift rural education, the Security Force Headquarters (Central) organized a major school supply donation program on January 30, 2026, at Ambadandegama B/Bambaragama Maha Vidyalaya. This initiative aimed to encourage the continued education of students from low-income families within the school. During the event, essential items valued at Rs. 1,000,000.00 (One Million) were donated, including
• School uniforms and footwear • School bags • Complete sets of exercise books
The project was executed under the direct coordination and guidance of the Commander of Security Forces (Central), Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP. Demonstrating the strong bond between the Army and civil society, this humanitarian mission was carried out with the full financial sponsorship of the Henegama Welfare Society, Gampaha
The Civil Coordinating Officer, representing the Commander of Security Forces (Central), attended the event alongside representatives of the Henegama Welfare Society, Major General Arosh Rajapaksa (Retd) of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, and the college faculty. This initiative once again reaffirmed the Sri Lanka Army's commitment to uplifting underprivileged communities in remote areas and strengthening civil-military cooperation
