 ASVU President Inspects Proposed Batik Project at Mulleriyawa

Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) on Friday (1) visited the sunflower village in Mulleriyawa where training programmes on Batik productions with the cooperation of Buddhi Batik   have been planned.

During this visit, Brigadier Coordination, Brigadier Thushara Balasuriya of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit briefed the Seva Vanitha President about the progress of the ongoing food projects and its supplies after her visit to the construction site of the Batik industry.

The aim of this Batik programme is to help Army personnel to find some self-employment openings after their retirement. She also gave some instructions during her visit to the venue.

Few Officers of the ASVU also joined the visit.
