 "Senehasa" Educational Resources Research and Information Centre (SERRIC) Reviews its Future Projects

A special awareness programme on 'Duties and Services' being performed by Senehasa Educational Resources Research and Information Centre (SERRIC), founded by  the Army Seva Vanitha Unit was held on Wednesday (9) at Senehasa Educational Resources Research and Information Centre auditorium.

The conference, chaired by Soniya Kottegoda, former Chairperson of MOD Seva Vanitha Unit presently holding the appointment of vice chairman Ranaviru Seva Authority and Supervisor of SERRIC, focused on varied duties and services performed by Senehasa Educational Resources Research and Information Centre staff while caring for children with special needs.  Brigadier Raja Gunasekara Commandant, 'Senehasa' Educational Resources Research and Information Centre delivered a lecture on care and treatment for those children and education to those differently able children of Army personnel.

Further, they discussed issues related to children of Navy, Air Force, Police and Civil Security Department families who would also join from 1st of October 2020 onwards. Next, Colonel Sumeda Balasuriya, Colonel (Coordinating) Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) explained the status quo regarding funds allocated by the ASVU.

Colonel Aruna Wijekoon, Colonel (Admin), Coordinating Officers of SVU and Officers participated the occasion.
