 ASVU President Warms New Leased Accommodation for Lady Officers

Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) as the Chief Guest on Wednesday (20) took part in the formal handover of the leased new accommodation building at Polhengoda for lady officers of the 1 Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps.

This building accommodates 30 lady officers and is equipped with all facilities.

All arrangements to this effect were brought to completion by Major General Prasanna Chandrasekara, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Master General Ordnance (MGO) on the guidelines given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for COVID-19 Outbreak.

Major General Chandrasekara, Colonel Indika Perera, Commanding Officer, Headquarters Battalion, several ASVU members and lady officers were associated with the inaugural occasion.
