 Seva Vanitha Unit- Built New House for Late SLSC Sergeant Vested with Beneficiaries

Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Unit (SLSC-SVU)-built one more new house for the family of a fallen War Hero of the SLSC was vested with the beneficiaries on Friday (1) morning at Gampola during a ceremony, attended by Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit as the Chief Guest.

On the invitation of Mrs Keshani Hettiarachchi, Chairperson, SLSC-SVU, the day's distinguished guest, Mrs. Sujeewa Nelson, symbolically handed over the key of this newly-built house to late Sergeant K S V Bandara’s family amid  blessings of religious observances. 

Mrs Sujeewa Nelsion also subsequently awarded gift parcels to the wife and  the daughter of the deceased War Hero and exchanged a couple of views and pleasantries with them. SLSC troops on the instructions of Major General N. Hettiarachchi, Colonel Commandant of SLSC voluntarily provided labour and technical expertise to complete the construction of this new house.

Sergeant K. S. V Bandara of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps accidentally passed away while in service. Members of the SLSC-SVU, senior officers and a crowd of relatives and villagers were also present at the house-warming ceremony.
