On the direction & guidance of Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc, the Commandant of Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL), the Human Resource Department organized an educational session on “Oral Health” on 15th May 2024 at Ranaviru Apparel camp premises in Yakkala.

The session was conducted by Dr. AATS Kumari BDS (SRI LANKA) from the Regional Director Health Service office (RDHS) – Gampaha. During the lecture, covered different sides of oral health including technics of brushing, Diet and nutrition, importance of regular dental checkups, Factors to be considered when selecting tooth paste, risk of using tobacco products and Prevent mouth cancers.

After the session Dental Therapist (NCO) from directorate of army dental service, emphasized the troops about the services providing by the Directorate of Army Dental Service and proceedings to be adopted when requesting the service from directorate.

RVAPL troops including the officers participated for the lecture.
