The Poson lantern competition organized for the third time by Thulhiriya Sri Siddhartha Buddhist Center was held from 21st June 2024 to 24th June 2024 on account of Mihindu Maharahat’s arrival to Sri Lanka for propagate Buddhism.

In the meantime, under the guidance of Brig M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc the Commandant of Ranaviru Apparel and with the supervision of Col P W S P B Galagama RSP - Factory Manager of Ranaviru Apparel Alawwa, glittering Poson Lantern was designed and displayed for the competitive festival of Poson Lantern by the troops of Ranaviru Apparel Alawwa.

Accordingly, the respective Poson Lantern presented by Alawwa factory has won the second place out of 42 Poson lanterns displayed by various organizations. The Commandant of Ranaviru Apparel together with Deputy Commandant, factory Managers and all troops of Ranaviru Apparel congratulated the officers and troops who were involved in this attractive creation.
