Differently able troops and other troops serving at the Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) - Yakkala took part in a Dhamma Sermon programme organized by Administrative Staff on account of "the national ceremony to officially proclaim the sacred Tripitaka as a world Heritage", under the guidance of Major General Manjula Manathunga , Commandant, got underway on 29 March 2019.

The religious ceremony, including a colorful procession and an interesting Dhamma sermon delivered by the most Ven. Bandarawela Amithananda Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Sri Kalyana Dharmasramadhi and Head of the Daham Madura Vipassana Bhawana Centre in Udupila,was held under the supervision of Commandant of RVAPL, at the camp premises in Yakkala. The Dhamma sermon was conducted in order to transfer merits to fallen War Heroes, invoke blessings on serving troops and civil employees of the RVAPL as well as to inspire the troops in the Ranaviru Apparels for religious activities.

A large crowd including the Commandant, Deputy Commandant and Factory Manger together with senior officers, officers, other ranks, civil employees in the RVAPL and Civilians of the area also participated in the event.
