ALAWWA FACTORY ORGANIZES MOUTH CANCER DETECTION CLINIC
Troops of Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) Factory at Alawwa serving under the RVAPL Headquarters at Yakkala organized a mobile mouth cancer detection clinic at their camp premises for its uniform staff including differently able troops and Civilian employees on Thursday (09 August 2018), on the directions of Brigadier Senaka Dassanayake , Commandant - RVAPL under the supervision of Factory Manager of Alawwa.

A team of medical staff including dental doctors from Medical Officer Health ( MOH) office at Kegalle visited Alawwa Factory and physically examined attendees lips and mouth in order to detect any abnormalities - areas of irritation, such as sores.

The clinic was planned not only to identify patients with cancer related abnormalities but also as awareness programme on the approval of Director General of Army Medical Service

More than 400 soldiers underwent diagnosis test during the medical clinic.
