NEW DCOS MAKES FIRST FORMAL VISIT TO RVAPL
The Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) and Chairman, Board of Management (BoM) of Ranaviru Apparel Major General Wasantha Madola made his first formal visit to Ranaviru Apparel Factories at Alawwa and Yakkala for an inspection on 11 February 2021

The day began with the visit to the Alawwa Factory. He was warmly received by Brigadier Azad Izadeen, the Commandant – RVAPL together with Colonel Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant and Factory Manager Lt Col Nandana Weerasekara in the company of several other senior Officers. The Guard Turnout presented a drive-pass on arrival and saluted the visiting DCOS in accordance with military traditions.

He was briefed on the operation at the factory followed factory visit and by planting a tree sapling at the camp premises as a symbol of memory. He addressed the troops at Alawwa Factory.

Thereafter DCOS arrived at the factory at Yakkala. On arrival he was warmly welcomed by the Commandant together with Deputy Commandant and Factory Manager at the main entrance to the camp at Yakkala. Here too the Guard Turnout presented a drive-pass and saluted in accordance with military traditions.

DCOS was briefed on the operation at the factory followed factory visit and by planting a tree sapling at the camp premises as a symbol of memory. He addressed the troops at Yakkiala factory too. He affirmed that all possible assistance to upgrade the factory to achieve the target and produce high quality uniform for the SL Army.

He also extended his sincere gratitude to commandant and all ranks including differently able War Heroes of the RVAPL for paving way for Factor’s success.

Towards the end of the day’s proceedings, the DCOS placed his signature in the Visitors’ book as a memory of his visit to RVAPL.
