Troops of Alawwa Factory of Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) celebrated its 11th anniversary with series of events at the camp premises under the supervision of Factory Manager, Lieutenant Colonel Nandana Weerasekara on January 17-18.
Programme commenced with Factory Manager being warmly welcomed by key appointment holders of the Factory on his arrival at the camp premise. A Guard Turnout was presented by the troops in accordance to the military traditions.
Thereafter Lieutenant Colonel Nandana Weerasekara, Factory Manager of Alawwa addressed the troops and extended his best wishes to all members of the Factory on its 11th anniversary and thanked all members and their families for their contribution towards enabling the Ranaviru Apparel to reach the heights it has achieved.
A Bodhi Pooja was organized at the factory premises on 18 January to bless all members including differently able troops serving the RVAPL and the Army as well as transfer merits to fallen War Heroes followed by an alms giving ceremony on the next day (19th) morning culminated anniversary programme.
All the officers, Other Ranks and members of the civil staff participated in the anniversary formalities.
