Troops serving at the Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) – Yakkala and Alawwa took part in series of events organized by Administrative Staff under the guidance of Brigadier Azath Izadeen , Commandant, RVAPL and supervised by Colonel Amila Wasage Deputy Commandant on account of first working day of the year 2021.
First session of the day’s programme began by hoisting the National flag at the factory by the Commandant, RVAPL followed by singing the National Anthem and the Army song.
A two-minute silence was observed to hounour the fallen War Heroes before reading the National Service Pledge in accordance with state sector policy. It was followed by a formal troop address by the Commandant – RVAPL.
The factory floor together with members of other departments started routine work with the pirith chanting.
The same programe was conducted at the Alawwa Factory under the patronage of Factory Manager Lieutenant Colonel Nandana Weerasekara.
