RANAVIRU APPAREL CELEBRATES 23 ANNIVERSARY
Troops of Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) together with differently able troops serving at Yakkala Factory celebrated the 23 anniversary charming manner, abiding with health regulations giving, priorities to religious activities at the camp premises in Yakkala on 10th December 2021.

On 9th December as the 1st phase of anniversary programme, a “Bodhi pooja pinkama” including an interesting Dhamma sermon delivered by Ven Ududumbara Meththawansha Tera of Indigolle Vidyawansha pirivena. Event was held under the direction of Brigadier Azad Izadeen, Commandant of RVAPL, at the camp premises in Yakkala to bless all members including differently able troops serving the RVAPL and the Army as well as to transfer merits to fallen War Heroes.

On the following day (10 December) morning the alms- giving (Heel danaya) was organized on behalf of the community of monks at Indigolla Vidyawansha pirivena, Yakkala as the 2 nd phase of anniversary programme.

On the same day, military events commenced with Commandant of RVAPL warmly welcomed by Brigadier Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant and Colonel Titus Jayakody, Factory Manager on his arrival at the camp premise. A Guard Turnout presented on arrival saluted the visiting Commandant in accordance with military traditions.

Thereafter, the commandant of RVAPL addressed the troops and extended his best wishes to all members of the Factory on its 23 anniversary and thanked all members and their families for their contribution towards enabling the Ranaviru Apparel to reach the heights it has achieved today.

All officers, Other Ranks and members of the civil staff participated in the anniversary formalities.
