RANAVIRU APPAREL CONDUCTS AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON DRUG ADDICTION AND ITS PREVENTION
Troops serving at Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) Factory of Sri Lanka Army organized very attractive series of creative stage drama programme to aware its staff on issues related to drugs addiction, under the guidance of Major General Shantha Rajakaruna, Commandant- RVAPL, on last Thursday (13) at the Swimming Pool Complex

However, it was reported that the numbers of illegal drug users in Sri Lanka have been increased and in turn it has been resulted to spread among the security forces.

Therefore, in order to maintain a sustainable Army of healthy soldiers, all the sub units of the Army was urged by the AHQ to take immediate action to save members of the Army from the menace of addiction to such acts and prevent to bring disgrace to the Army in the future as well as to maintain the respect of the Sri Lankan people on to the Army.

On the guidance of the Commander of the Army has instructed all the SF HQs, Divisions and other Institutions to conduct “Drug addiction and its Prevention” programs.

Accordingly, RVAPL also taken some steps to prevent the use of drug and conducted awareness drama competition on “Drug Addiction & Preventive measures” was successfully concluded at the Ranaviru Apparel Yakkala swimming pool premises on 13 August 2020.

This programme was organized by the troops of Ranaviru Apparel under the directions and guidance of Major General Shantha Rajakaruna, the commandant of RVAPL.

Several key appointment holders including Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Factory Manager, Human Resource Manager, Production Planning and Work Study Manager, all the officers and other ranks serving the RVAPL were attend to the event.
