The Board of Management (BOM) meeting at the Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) got underway on 30 January 2025, chaired by Major General M G W W W M C B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Army.

The Commandant of RVAPL, Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc cordially welcomed the Chairman and all members of the BOM. Subsequently, the Commandant of RVAPL delivered a comprehensive briefing about the RVAPL.

Officers and Other Ranks serving in the "Ranaviru Apparal (RVAPL) Alawwa joined together in their annual trip to Kataragama, a two day pilgrimage plus a holiday trip held from 21 to 22 January with the blessings of Brigadier Namal Bandara Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc Commandant —RVAPL.

Further, this year annual trip was organized with objectives of developing inter - personal relationships, cohesiveness, team building, organizing skills, motivation and to reduce working stress.

Closing ceremony of sewing course no 3 designed for Other Ranks serving in the army was held on 19th Tuesday 2024 at the Ranaviru Apperel Yakkala (RVAPL).

The Commandant of RVAPL Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc conducted the closing address and certificates awarded to sewing operator course No 3.

The Course has been organized on the instructions and guidance of the Commandant of RVAPL and under the supervision of Brigadier Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant of RVAPL.

On a request made by the zonal educational office Gampaha, Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc, the Commandant – RVAPL given the guidance to Human Resource Department to proceed with a day programme for 77 students and 08 teachers of Kirindiwela MMV, Siyane central college and Anura MMV to visit the premises of RVAPL on 29 October 2024, In order to achieve objectives of their education tour.

The farewell ceremony held on last Thursday (05 September 2024) at the camp premises. Brigadier HDT Jayakody USP addressing the troops and thanked all officers, other ranks for the support given to him during his tenure as the Factory Manager. All rank tea party culminated the day’s programme.

The foundation stone laying ceremony for the New Officers’ Mess at Ranaviru Apparel Alawwa was held on 06 August 2024 under the guidance of Brig M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc the Commandant of Ranaviru Apparel and with the supervision of Colonel P W S P B Galagama RSP the Factory Manager of Ranaviru Apparel Alawwa.

The event was organized by all Offrs and ORs of the Ranaviru Apparel Alawwa factory by giving priority to religious procedings.

Newly constructed Bicycle Park at Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) camp premises in Yakkala was declared opened by Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc, the Commandant of RVAPL as the Chief Guest, on the invitation of Brig Amila Wasage, Dy Comdt of RVAPL during a simple ceremony held on Wednesday 08th September 2024.
