OCDC CONDUCTS AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WOMEN’S RIGHTS

Conforming to the direction of the Commander of the Army, OCDC conducted a lecture on ‘Women’s Rights’ coinciding with its scheduled weekly training Day programme for Other Ranks on 12 February 2020. As per the instructions given by the Commandant of OCDC, Captain HMDS Senarathne of 2 SLAGSC conducted the lecture for them at the Mini Auditorium of OCDC.

OCDC CRICKET ENCOUNTER - 1/2020

To enhance the comradeship among the student officers as well as to drive away the boredom of the academic environment, the cricket encounter 1/2020 was organised and culminated successfully at OCDC play ground on 09 February 2020.

The Commandant of OCDC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the teams from Unit Command Course 6, Junior Command Course 18, Junior Staff Course 18 & the Permanent Staff of OCDC participated in the event. OCDC CONDUCTS A SPECIAL CULTURAL PROGRAMME

A special cultural programme was held at open cinema - OCDC on 8th February 2020 after the usual Poya Day sermon to refresh the minds as well as to develop cultural and historical values and attitudes of student officers. OCDC CELEBRATES 72nd INDEPENDENCE DAY

OCDC celebrated the 72nd Independence Day, in commemoration of the independence gained from the British rule in 1948 with the participation of Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, Senior Officers, Permanent Staff and all the Student Officers.

The event began with a tree planting ceremony in front of the OCDC- HQ building. Thereafter, a flag hoisting ceremony was held and a message by the Chief of the Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army was read by the Adjutant of OCDC. INAUGURATION OF JUNIOR STAFF COURSE 18

Officer Career Development Centre commenced JSC 18 with the primary objective of enhancing military professionalism among the army officers on 21st January 2020.The Junior Staff Course comprises of 53 student officers in the ranks of Captain and Lieutenant.

Concurrently, the Senior Instructor of JSC addressed the student officers and the Commanding Officer - Admin Wing also passed down necessary admin instructions during his Admin briefing.
