IPSOTSL is a prestigious institute of Sri Lanka dedicated to    training of peacekeepers for employment in all types of UNPSO (UN   Peace Support Operations). This institute fulfils the requirement   of UNDPKO as per General Assembly resolution which outlines 'the   necessity and responsibility of every nation to train their armed forces   before any deployment under the flag of United Nations.

 

 
 
THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS AND INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW ADVANCE COURSE (OTHER RANKS) - NO 29

The Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) collaboration with the Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights & Humanitarian Law (Dte of Leg Svcs HR & IHL) conducted the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Advance Course (Other Ranks) No 29 from 27 November 2024 to 23 December 2024. 19 x Other Ranks from Sri Lanka Army and 1 x Other Rank from Sri Lanka Navy, successfully completed the course.

COMMANDER, LOGISTIC COMMAND OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY DELIVERED THE CLOSING REMARKS OF THE UNITED NATIONS LOGISTIC COURSE (UNLOG) - NO 6

United Nations Logistic Course (UNLOG) - No 06, sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) was concluded on 13 December 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga.

The course was comprised of 39 x foreign and local tri forces Officers including 28 x Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, 2 x Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, 2 x Officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force and 7 x foreign Officers, from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal and Philippines. THE NEW COMMANDANT OF INSTITUTE OF PEACE SUPPORT OPERATIONS TRAINING SRI LANKA BEGINS DUTIES

Brigadier M K L A de Silva RSP USP psc assumed duties as the sixteenth Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) during a brief ceremony held at the IPSOTSL on Monday 09 December 2024.

On arrival, the Commandant was welcomed by the Senior Instructor IPSOTSL and accorded a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance. Afterwards, the senior officer placed his signature in an official document signifying the taking over of his duties at his office amidst religious observances.
