ANNUAL BODHI POOJA CEREMONY HELD AT BELLANWILA TEMPLE

The Annual Bodhi Pooja Ceremony was successfully held at the Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya on 28 February 2026.

The event was conducted with the participation of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Shihani Abeywardhana along with the members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.

This programme was organized with the noble purpose of transferring merit to the fallen war heroes of the Gemunu Watch who sacrificed their lives during the war, and to invoke blessings for the speedy recovery and well being of the wounded soldiers.

The ceremony commenced with the Bodhi Pooja Pinkama, conducted in a calm and spiritual atmosphere. A Venerable Thero delivered a Dhamma sermon, sharing valuable teachings and blessings with the gathering. The sermon emphasized the importance of gratitude, sacrifice, unity, and spiritual strength.

The President and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Invited retired senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, The Centre Commandant of the Gemunu Watch, Officers and Soldiers attended the ceremony, making the occasion meaningful and successful.
