A pre-training programme on fire response and emergency readiness was conducted on 17 November 2025 at a ward of the Matara General Hospital.
A dedicated troop comprising 01 x 35 personnel from the 3 (V) Gemunu Watch actively participated in the programme, showcasing their commitment to public safety and rapid emergency response. Their professionalism, discipline, and willingness to support civil institutions reflect the strong service ethos upheld by the Regiment.
The involvement of the 3(V) Gemunu Watch troops significantly contributed to strengthening the hospital staff’s preparedness and ensuring effective coordination during potential fire-related emergencies.
