The SevaWanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch organized a Self Employment Workshop " රණවිරු පතිනි සවිය".

According to the concept of the President of the SVBGW Dr. (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne successfully organized a Self Employment Workshop "රණවිරු පතිනි සවිය" with the aim of encouraging and guiding the members of the SVBGW towards successfully entrepreneurial ventures on 20 September 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters the Gemunu Watch.

The workshop was conducted in four sessions, focusing on practical knowledge, inspiration, and modern skills for self-employment:

1. *Flower Plant Export Training* The first session was conducted by Mr. RajithaLakmalAbeygunasekara, The CEO of TR International Export (Pvt) Ltd, based in Dubai. He explained the process of growing flower plants for export, methods of maintaining quality, and how families can connect with the company to earn a stable income.

2. *From Military Spouse to Entrepreneurs* In the second session, Mrs. HimaliDissanayaka delivered an inspiring lecture on how to becoming an entrepreneur as a military spouse. She shared real-life experiences on how challenges can be transformed into opportunities, motivating participants to start their own ventures with confidence.

3. *Creative Handicrafts for Income* The third session was conducted by Mrs. ThusithaSenadheera, who taught practical skills such as creating cross-stitch patterns and flower decorations. She explained how these handmade products can be turned into profitable business opportunities both locally and internationally.

4. *Growing Business through Social Media* The final session was led by Captain WGT Bathiya, who explained how to promote products, attract clients, and build businesses using social media platforms. He highlighted cost-effective online marketing strategies and tools suitable for beginners.

This workshop not only provided practical skills and modern knowledge but also created a sense of hope and empowerment among the participants by opening new pathways for self-employment, it has given soldiers and their families the confidence to face challenges and the opportunity to build a sustainable future.
