OPHTHALMOLOGY CLINIC AND SPECIALIST MEDICAL SERVICE CLINIC WITH DONATION OF VISION AIDS WERE CONDUCT BY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH THE GEMUNU WATCH

As per the inordinate concept of Mrs. Manori Welagedara, the Chairperson of Gemunu watch Seva Vanitha Branch, and members of the Seva Vanita Branch with the guidance of Colonel of the Regiment Major General SWB Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc has organized a Ophthalmology Clinic and Specialist Medical Service Clinic has been conduct under the supervision of Dr. Kapila Bimal Kannangara, Director of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Health Services Department along with the support of Dr Sreeni Alahapperuma the Director of Health Services Rathnapura District and medical staff of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Health Services Department, On 12 December 2023 at the Paradise hall premises in Regimental Centre the Gemunu Watch Kuruwita.

Many close relatives of the officers and other ranks of the Gemunu Watch were participated for the clinic.

In accordance with the clinic, a very valuable lecture was conducted by Dr. Janaka Vannaku to educate the audience about keeping their physical health well.

185 persons were took part in getting treatments, and after their eye examination, free spectacles were distributed to the people who are with eye problems. Donations of free glasses are funded by Mr. Pragalitha Pushpakumara , PCM Chandrapala , LTST Wickrakamatunga coordinated by Mrs. Priayanka Galappathti of Seva Vanitha branch the Gemunu Watch. Furthermore, all officers and other rank staff and their relatives who came to this Medical Clinic were treated with breakfast, tea and lunch.
