WORKSHOP ON DEVELOP MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH OF ARMY SOLDIERS AND THEIR FAMILIES

The Regimental Centre, the Gemunu Watch joined hands with the Directorate of Psychological Operations to conduct a workshop on “Develop Mental and Spiritual Health of Army Soldiers and Their Families” according to the direction and guidance of the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General WBDP Fernando RWP RSP USP psc on 15 February 2018 at the Regimental Centre premises.

The Deputy Centre Commandant welcomed the counceller Maj Samanthi Bandara, Psychological Officer on behalf of the Colonel of the Regiment, Centre Commandant and all Officers and ORs of the Gemunu Watch and the programe consisted with following topics.

  • Family Organization

  • Duties and responsibility of husband and wife

  • Attitudes of husband and wife

  • Burning issues for life and how to avoid them

  • Educating to prevention of drug abuse, sexuality and moral turpitude issues

  • Protection of Childs

The lecturer conducted this half day programe according to the above mentioned topics and distributed leaflets and have conversations, play lets, poems, songs ect to arose interest among participants. Final session consisted with sharing feedback among the lecture and participants regarding subject matters of the programe.

More than ten officers, including the Deputy Centre Commandant, senior and junior Officers participated included with more than 350 Other Rank and 36 family members for this event and they highly appreciated the contributions and assistance made by the Directorate of Psychological Operation for this valuable event. Regimental Centre had arranged breakfast, tea and lunch to all participants.
