LAY UP A STONE GOD SUMANA SAMAN SCULPTURE INSIDE THE SAMAN FANE IN TEMPLE PREMISES AT REGIMENTAL HEADQUARTER
A Stone Statue God Sumana Saman Sculpture which is donated by donor Mr. K C Pushpakumara has laid up inside the God Sumana Saman fane in the load Buddha shirin premises at Regimental Headquarters at auspicious time on 31 Mar 2017. The inaugurating ceremony was preside by the Col of the Regiment Maj Gen P U S Vithanage RSP ndu. The sculpture was laid up after the one month of homage service in Daraniyagala God Sumana Saman fane and it was took in procession to Regimental Headquarters premises with a colorful procession.
After procession the God Sumana Saman Sculpture laying up while pirith chanting by Buddhist monks from Siripagama Maha Mewuna Asapuwa. Then Mr. Weerawardhana Kadawathaarachchi Priest of Paradise Vishnu Dewalaya and Mr. Mahindapala Rathnasiri - Head Priest of Deraniyagala Sumana Saman Dewalaya were conducted poojawa as per the tradition. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks and were attended to remark the event. Finally the members of Maha Sanga offered Pirikara by Colonel of the Regiment and Mr. K C Pushpakumara.
